The students of a test are divided equally into two groups. In the first group, there are 44 less boys than girls. In the second group, there are 4 less girls than boys. 30% of all the students are boys. How many students are there altogether?

Number of students in the first group and the second group is equal.

Percentage of students who are girls
= 100% - 30%
= 70%

Percentage of more girls than boys
= 70% - 30%

Total number of girls

Total number of boys
= 1 u + 1 u + 20 + 4
= 2 u + 24

Number of girls more than boys
= 64 - 24
= 40

40% of the students = 40

1% of the students = 40 ÷ 40 = 1

100% of the students
= 100 x 1
= 100

Number of students = 100
