At a fun fair, 15% of the tickets were sold at full price and 40% of the tickets at half price. The remaining 180 tickets were given away free. The total amount of money collected was $8120. What was the price of the ticket at half price? 
Percentage of the tickets given free
= 100% - 15% - 40%
= 45%

45% → 180

1% → 180 ÷ 45 = 4

Number of tickets sold at full price
= 15% of the tickets
= 15 x 4
= 60

Number of tickets sold at half price
= 40% of the tickets
= 40 x 4
= 160

Value	2 u	1 u
Total value	120 u	160 u		280 u

Cost of 1 full price ticket = 2 u
Cost of 1 half price ticket = 1 u

Total amount collected
= 60 x 2 u + 160 x 1 u

= 280 u

280 u = 8120

1 u = 8120 ÷ 280 = 29

Price of the ticket at half price 
= 1 u
= $29
