At a theme park, 30% of the tickets were sold at full price and 15% of the tickets at half price. The remaining 110 tickets were given away free. The total amount of money collected was $1950. What was the price of the ticket at half price? 
Percentage of the tickets given free
= 100% - 30% - 15%
= 55%

55% → 110

1% → 110 ÷ 55 = 2

Number of tickets sold at full price
= 30% of the tickets
= 30 x 2
= 60

Number of tickets sold at half price
= 15% of the tickets
= 15 x 2
= 30

Total value	120 u	30 u		150 u

Cost of 1 full price ticket = 2 u
Cost of 1 half price ticket = 1 u

Total amount collected
= 60 x 2 u + 30 x 1 u

150 u = 1950

1 u = 1950 ÷ 150 = 13

Price of the ticket at half price 
= 1 u
= $13
