At a fun fair, 35% of the tickets were sold at full price and 55% of the tickets at half price. The remaining 80 tickets were given away free. The total amount of money collected was $26000. What was the price of the ticket at half price? 
Percentage of the tickets given free
= 100% - 35% - 55%
= 10%

10% → 80

1% → 80 ÷ 10 = 8

Number of tickets sold at full price
= 35% of the tickets
= 35 x 8
= 280

Number of tickets sold at half price
= 55% of the tickets
= 55 x 8
= 440

Total value	560 u	440 u		1000 u

Cost of 1 full price ticket = 2 u
Cost of 1 half price ticket = 1 u

Total amount collected
= 280 x 2 u + 440 x 1 u

1000 u = 26000

1 u = 26000 ÷ 1000 = 26

Price of the ticket at half price 
= 1 u
= $26
