At a soccer match, 15% of the tickets were sold at full price and 40% of the tickets at half price. The remaining 225 tickets were given away free. The total amount of money collected was $10150. What was the full price of the ticket?
Percentage of the tickets given free
= 100% - 15% - 40%
= 45%

45% → 225

1% → 225 ÷ 45 = 5

Number of tickets sold at full price
= 15% of the tickets
= 15 x 5
= 75

Number of tickets sold at half price
= 40% of the tickets
= 40 x 5
= 200

Total value	150 u	200 u		350 u

Cost of 1 full price ticket = 2 u
Cost of 1 half price ticket = 1 u

Total amount collected
= 75 x 2 u + 200 x 1 u

1 u = 10150 ÷ 350 = 29

Full price of the ticket
= 2 u
= 2 x 29
= $58
