On Saturday, the number of adults to boys to girls visiting a tourist attraction was 5 : 5 : 8. On Sunday, the number of adults visiting the tourist attraction remained the same. However, the number of boys increased by 20% and the number of girls decreased by 25%.

1. What was the ratio of the number of adults to boys to girls visiting the tourist attraction on Sunday?
2. On Saturday, 559 boys and girls visited the tourist attraction. What was the total number of visitors at the tourist attraction on Sunday?

= 6 u

Number of girls on Sunday
= 8 u - 2 u
= 6 u

On Sunday

= 5 u + 8 u
= 13 u

13 u = 559

1 u = 559 ÷ 13 = 43

Total number of visitors on Sunday
= 5 u + 6 u + 6 u
= 17 u
= 17 x 43
