Lynn had a total of 262 yellow and silver beads. She used 38 yellow beads and 30% of the silver beads. After that, the ratio of the number of yellow beads to silver beads Lynn had was 6 : 7.

1. What fraction of her silver beads did Lynn use? Give your answer in the simplest form.
2. How many beads did Lynn have in the end?

Total number of beads at first
= 10 u + 6 u + 38
= 16 u + 38

16 u + 38 = 262
16 u = 262 - 38
16 u = 224

1 u = 224 ÷ 16 = 14

Number of silver beads in the end = 7 u
Number of yellow beads in the end = 6 u

Total number of beads in the end
= 6 u + 7 u
= 13 u
= 13 x 14
= 182
