Nora had a total of 202 purple and silver beads. She used 32 purple beads and 90% of the silver beads. After that, the ratio of the number of purple beads to silver beads Nora had was 7 : 1.

1. What fraction of her silver beads did Nora use? Give your answer in the simplest form.
2. How many beads did Nora have in the end?

Number of silver beads at first = 10 u
Number of purple beads at first = 7 u + 32

Total number of beads at first
= 10 u + 7 u + 32
= 17 u + 32

17 u + 32 = 202
17 u = 202 - 32
17 u = 170

1 u = 170 ÷ 17 = 10

Number of silver beads in the end = 1 u
Number of purple beads in the end = 7 u

Total number of beads in the end
= 7 u + 1 u
= 8 u
= 8 x 10
= 80
