Marion had a total of 148 gold and yellow beads. She used 43 gold beads and 40% of the yellow beads. After that, the ratio of the number of gold beads to yellow beads Marion had was 10 : 3.

1. What fraction of her yellow beads did Marion use? Give your answer in the simplest form.
2. How many beads did Marion have in the end?

Number of gold beads at first = 10 u + 43

Total number of beads at first
= 5 u + 10 u + 43
= 15 u + 43

15 u + 43 = 148
15 u = 148 - 43
15 u = 105

1 u = 105 ÷ 15 = 7

Number of yellow beads in the end = 3 u
Number of gold beads in the end = 10 u

Total number of beads in the end
= 10 u + 3 u
= 13 u
= 13 x 7
= 91
