Mary had a total of 219 red and green beads. She used 37 red beads and 60% of the green beads. After that, the ratio of the number of red beads to green beads Mary had was 9 : 2.

1. What fraction of her green beads did Mary use? Give your answer in the simplest form.
2. How many beads did Mary have in the end?

Number of green beads at first = 5 u
Number of red beads at first = 9 u + 37

Total number of beads at first
= 5 u + 9 u + 37
= 14 u + 37

14 u + 37 = 219
14 u = 219 - 37
14 u = 182

1 u = 182 ÷ 14 = 13

Number of green beads in the end = 2 u
Number of red beads in the end = 9 u

Total number of beads in the end
= 9 u + 2 u
= 11 u
= 11 x 13
= 143
