Tiffany had a total of 60 green and purple beads. She used 10 green beads and 75% of the purple beads. After that, the ratio of the number of green beads to purple beads Tiffany had was 6 : 1.

1. What fraction of her purple beads was Tiffany left with? Give your answer in the simplest form.
2. How many more green beads than purple beads did Tiffany have in the end?

The number of purple beads in the end is repeated.
Since the numbers are already the same, we do not need to use LCM to make them the same.

Number of purple beads at first = 4 u
Number of green beads at first = 6 u + 10

Total number of beads at first
= 4 u + 6 u + 10
= 10 u + 10

10 u + 10 = 60
10 u = 60 - 10
10 u = 50

1 u = 50 ÷ 10 = 5

Number of purple beads in the end = 1 u
Number of green beads in the end = 6 u

Number of more green beads than purple beads that Tiffany had in the end
= 6 u - 1 u
= 5 u
= 5 x 5
= 25
