Tammy had a total of 184 black and silver beads. She used 44 black beads and 50% of the silver beads. After that, the ratio of the number of black beads to silver beads Tammy had was 8 : 1.

1. What fraction of her silver beads was Tammy left with? Give your answer in the simplest form.
2. How many more black beads than silver beads did Tammy have in the end?

Number of black beads at first = 8 u + 44

Total number of beads at first
= 2 u + 8 u + 44
= 10 u + 44

10 u + 44 = 184
10 u = 184 - 44
10 u = 140

1 u = 140 ÷ 10 = 14

Number of silver beads in the end = 1 u
Number of black beads in the end = 8 u

Number of more black beads than silver beads that Tammy had in the end
= 8 u - 1 u
= 7 u
= 7 x 14
= 98
