Hazel had a total of 91 yellow and gold beads. She used 26 yellow beads and 30% of the gold beads. After that, the ratio of the number of yellow beads to gold beads Hazel had was 3 : 7.

1. What fraction of her gold beads did Hazel use? Give your answer in the simplest form.
2. How many beads did Hazel have in the end?

Number of gold beads at first = 10 u
Number of yellow beads at first = 3 u + 26

Total number of beads at first
= 10 u + 3 u + 26
= 13 u + 26

13 u + 26 = 91
13 u = 91 - 26
13 u = 65

1 u = 65 ÷ 13 = 5

Number of gold beads in the end = 7 u
Number of yellow beads in the end = 3 u

Total number of beads in the end
= 3 u + 7 u
= 10 u
= 10 x 5
= 50
