Nora had a total of 174 pink and blue beads. She used 48 pink beads and 30% of the blue beads. After that, the ratio of the number of pink beads to blue beads Nora had was 8 : 7.

1. What fraction of her blue beads did Nora use? Give your answer in the simplest form.
2. How many beads did Nora have in the end?

Total number of beads at first
= 10 u + 8 u + 48
= 18 u + 48

18 u + 48 = 174
18 u = 174 - 48
18 u = 126

1 u = 126 ÷ 18 = 7

Number of blue beads in the end = 7 u
Number of pink beads in the end = 8 u

Total number of beads in the end
= 8 u + 7 u
= 15 u
= 15 x 7
= 105
