The students' choices were also represented by a bar graph but the names of the sandwiches were not shown. What was the total number of students who chose mutton and vegetarian sandwiches?

Number of students who chose mutton sandwiches is the least. So it is represented by the shortest bar.

Number of students who chose mutton sandwiches = 20

5% of students = 20

1% of students = 20 ÷ 5 = 4

Percent of students who chose vegetarian sandwiches = 40%
Percent of students who chose tuna sandwiches = 10%

Percent of students who chose vegetarian and tuna sandwiches
= 40% + 10%
= 50%

Total number of students who chose mutton and vegetarian sandwiches
= 50 x 4 
= 200
