The students' choices were also represented by a bar graph but the names of the sandwiches were not shown. What was the total number of students who chose hotdog and tuna sandwiches?

Number of students who chose turkey sandwiches is the least. So it is represented by the shortest bar.

Number of students who chose turkey sandwiches = 40

10% of students = 40

1% of students = 40 ÷ 10 = 4

Percent of students who chose hotdog sandwiches = 40%
Percent of students who chose tuna sandwiches = 35%

Percent of students who chose hotdog and tuna sandwiches
= 40% + 35%
= 75%

Total number of students who chose turkey and beef sandwiches
= 75 x 4
= 300
