Mr Tay used two printers with different printing rates for a printing job. He started Printer N at 12 14 and started Printer P one minute later. He stopped both copiers at 12 19. The graphs show the total number of pages printed by each printer from the start of printing.

1. How many pages had been printed by Printer N at the time Mr Tay started Printer P?
2. What was the difference in the number of pages printed by the two copiers from 12 14 to 12 19?
3. Which printer, N or P, has a slower printing rate? What is the difference in the number of pages printed by the copiers in one minute? Give your answer in this format. (Eg A, 1)

Number of pages printed by Printer N from 12 14 to 12 19
= 250

Number of pages printed by Printer P from 12 14 to 12 19
= 550

Difference in the number of pages printed by the two copiers from 12 14 to 12 19
= 550 - 250
= 300

(c)
Printing rate of Printer N
= 250 ÷ 5
= 50 (Slower)

Printing rate of Printer P
= 550 ÷ 4
= 137.5 (Faster)

Difference in the number of pages printed by the copiers in one minute
= 137.5 - 50
= 87.5
