Mr Tang used two printers with different printing rates for a printing job. He started Printer J at 13 44 and started Printer K two minutes later. He stopped both machines at 13 49. The graphs show the total number of pages printed by each printer from the start of printing.

1. How many pages had been printed by Printer J at the time Mr Tang started Printer K?
2. What was the difference in the number of pages printed by the two machines from 13 44 to 13 49?
3. Which printer, J or K, has a slower printing rate? What is the difference in the number of pages printed by the machines in one minute? Give your answer in this format. (Eg A, 1)

= 360

Difference in the number of pages printed by the two machines from 13 44 to 13 49
= 480 - 360
= 120

Printing rate of Printer J
= 480 ÷ 5
= 96 (Slower)

Printing rate of Printer K
= 360 ÷ 3
= 120 (Faster)

Difference in the number of pages printed by the machines in one minute
= 120 - 96
= 24
