Mr Cheong used two printers with different printing rates for a printing job. He started Printer M at 17 03 and started Printer N three minutes later. He stopped both copiers at 17 08. The graphs show the total number of pages printed by each printer from the start of printing.

1. How many pages had been printed by Printer M at the time Mr Cheong started Printer N?
2. What was the difference in the number of pages printed by the two copiers from 17 03 to 17 08?
3. Which printer, M or N, has a faster printing rate? What is the difference in the number of pages printed by the copiers in one minute? Give your answer in this format. (Eg A, 1)

= 100

Difference in the number of pages printed by the two copiers from 17 03 to 17 08
= 200 - 100
= 100

(c)
Printing rate of Printer M
= 200 ÷ 5
= 40

Printing rate of Printer N
= 100 ÷ 2
= 50 (Faster)

Difference in the number of pages printed by the copiers in one minute
= 50 - 40
= 10
