Mr Lau used two printers with different printing rates for a printing job. He started Printer M at 22 01 and started Printer N three minutes later. He stopped both printers at 22 06. The graphs show the total number of pages printed by each printer from the start of printing.

1. How many pages had been printed by Printer M at the time Mr Lau started Printer N?
2. What was the difference in the number of pages printed by the two printers from 22 01 to 22 06?
3. Which printer, M or N, has a faster printing rate? What is the difference in the number of pages printed by the printers in one minute? Give your answer in this format. (Eg A, 1)

Number of pages printed by Printer M from 22 01 to 22 06
= 600

Number of pages printed by Printer N from 22 01 to 22 06
= 500

Difference in the number of pages printed by the two printers from 22 01 to 22 06
= 600 - 500
= 100

(c)
Printing rate of Printer M
= 600 ÷ 5
= 120

Printing rate of Printer N
= 500 ÷ 2
= 250 (Faster)

Difference in the number of pages printed by the printers in one minute
= 250 - 120
= 130
