Mr Seah used two printers with different printing rates for a printing job. He started Printer C at 12 51 and started Printer D two minutes later. He stopped both copiers at 12 56. The graphs show the total number of pages printed by each printer from the start of printing.

2. What was the difference in the number of pages printed by the two copiers from 12 51 to 12 56?

= 240

Difference in the number of pages printed by the two copiers from 12 51 to 12 56
= 330 - 240
= 90

(c)
Printing rate of Printer C
= 330 ÷ 5
= 66 (Slower)

Printing rate of Printer D
= 240 ÷ 3
= 80 (Faster)

Difference in the number of pages printed by the copiers in one minute
= 80 - 66
= 14
