Mr Loo used two printers with different printing rates for a printing job. He started Printer U at 14 38 and started Printer V one minute later. He stopped both printers at 14 43. The graphs show the total number of pages printed by each printer from the start of printing.

2. What was the difference in the number of pages printed by the two printers from 14 38 to 14 43?

= 150

Number of pages printed by Printer V from 14 38 to 14 43
= 400

Difference in the number of pages printed by the two printers from 14 38 to 14 43
= 400 - 150
= 250

(c)
Printing rate of Printer U
= 150 ÷ 5
= 30 (Slower)

Printing rate of Printer V
= 400 ÷ 4
= 100 (Faster)

Difference in the number of pages printed by the printers in one minute
= 100 - 30
= 70
