Mr Thia used two printers with different printing rates for a printing job. He started Printer N at 19 37 and started Printer P two minutes later. He stopped both printers at 19 42. The graphs show the total number of pages printed by each printer from the start of printing.

2. What was the difference in the number of pages printed by the two printers from 19 37 to 19 42?

= 150

Difference in the number of pages printed by the two printers from 19 37 to 19 42
= 240 - 150
= 90

Printing rate of Printer N
= 240 ÷ 5
= 48 (Slower)

Printing rate of Printer P
= 150 ÷ 3
= 50 (Faster)

Difference in the number of pages printed by the printers in one minute
= 50 - 48
= 2
