Length of the rectangle
= 13 u
= 2 radii + 41
Breadth of the rectangle
= 5 u
= 2 radii + 9
13 u - 5 u = (2 radii) + 41 - (2 radii + 9)
8 u = 41 - 9
8 u = 32
1 u = 32 ÷ 8 = 4
5 u = 5 x 4 = 20
Radius of the quarter circle
= (20 - 9) ÷ 2
= 11 ÷ 2
= 5.5 cm

Perimeter of the 4 quarter circles
= 3.14 x 11
= 34.54 cm
Perimeter of the shaded part
= 34.54 + 41 + 41 + 9 + 9
= 134.54 cm
≈ 134.5 cm (Correct to 1 decimal place)
