Difference in the number of intervals between Mar and Jan
= 9 - 5
= 4

4 intervals → 44

1 interval → 44 ÷ 4 = 11

Number of punchers sold in Mar
= 9 intervals
= 9 x 11
= 99

(c)
Total intervals from Jan to Mar
= 5 + 3 + 9
= 17

Total number of punchers sold from Jan to Mar
= 17 intervals
= 17 x 11
= 187

Total number of punchers sold from Jan to May
= 5 x 143
= 715

Number of punchers sold from Apr to May
= 715 - 187
= 528

Average number of punchers sold in Apr and May
= 528 ÷ 2
= 264
