Xuan had a bottle of orange juice. She drank 350 mℓ of orange juice in the morning and ³₅ of remaining orange juice in the afternoon. After that, there was ¹₆ a bottle of orange juice left. How much of the orange juice did she drink in the afternoon?
Fraction of the remaining orange juice left in the end
= 1 - ³₅
= ²₅

The remaining orange juice left in the end is equal to ¹₆ of the bottle of orange juice.
Make numerators the same.
LCM of 2 and 1 is 2.
 
²₅ of the remaining orange juice = ¹₆ of the total orange juice
²₅ of the remaining orange juice = ²₁₂ of the total orange juice

Volume of orange juice that she drank in the morning
= 12 u - 5 u
= 7 u

7 u = 350

1 u = 350 ÷ 7 = 50

Volume of orange juice that she drank in the afternoon
= 3 u
= 3 x 50
= 150 mℓ
