Fraction of his money that he had left

Let the cost of 1 passion fruit be 1 P.
Let the cost of 1 orange be 1 O.

3 P = 2 O _(x3)
9 P = 6 O

Since Mr Chen wants to buy oranges with the money he had left, 9 passion fruits will be substituted as 6 oranges.

³₅ of his money
= 9 P + 11 O
= 6 O + 11 O
= 17 O

³₅ of his money → 17 O
¹₅ of his money → ¹⁷₃ O
²₅ of his money → 2 x ¹⁷₃ O = 11¹₃ O

Maximum number of oranges he could buy with the money that he had left = 11
