Fraction of his money that he had left

Let the cost of 1 passion fruit be 1 P.
Let the cost of 1 chikoo be 1 C.

2 P = 4 C _(x3)
6 P = 12 C

Since Mr Chye wants to buy chikoos with the money he had left, 6 passion fruits will be substituted as 12 chikoos.

⁵₇ of his money
= 6 P + 4 C
= 12 C + 4 C
= 16 C

⁵₇ of his money → 16 C
¹₇ of his money → ¹⁶₅ C
²₇ of his money → 2 x ¹⁶₅ C = 6²₅ C

Maximum number of chikoos he could buy with the money that he had left = 6
