Let the cost of 1 apple be 1 A.
Let the cost of 1 passion fruit be 1 P.

4 A = 2 P _(x3)
12 A = 6 P

Since Mr Yeo wants to buy passion fruits with the money he had left, 12 apples will be substituted as 6 passion fruits.

= 12 A + 12 P
= 6 P + 12 P
= 18 P

⁴₉ of his money → 18 P
¹₉ of his money → ¹⁸₄ P
⁵₉ of his money → 5 x ¹⁸₄ P = 22²₄ P
