Let the cost of 1 orange be 1 O.
Let the cost of 1 passion fruit be 1 P.

2 O = 3 P _(x3)
6 O = 9 P

Since Mr Quek wants to buy passion fruits with the money he had left, 6 oranges will be substituted as 9 passion fruits.

³₁₀ of his money
= 6 O + 8 P
= 9 P + 8 P
= 17 P

³₁₀ of his money → 17 P
¹₁₀ of his money → ¹⁷₃ P
⁷₁₀ of his money → 7 x ¹⁷₃ P = 39²₃ P
