The number of vanila scones he ate was thrice the number of blueberry scones he ate. The number of vanila scones left was 14 more than the number of matcha scones left. = 1 p + 1 p + 1 p + 14 + 14 + 8
= 3 p + 36

3 p + 36 = 63
3 p = 63 - 36
3 p = 27

1 p = 27 ÷ 3 = 9
