Number of blueberry cupcakes and strawberry cupcakes was equal at first.
1 p + 3 u + 24 = 1 p + 39
3 u = 39 - 24
3 u = 15
1 u = 15 ÷ 3 = 5
Total number of cupcakes in the end
= 1 p + 1 p + 24 + 1 p + 24 + 5
= 1 p + 1 p + 1 p + 24 + 24 + 5
= 3 p + 53
3 p + 53 = 80
3 p = 80 - 53
3 p = 27
1 p = 27 ÷ 3 = 9
Number of strawberry cupcakes at first
= 1 p + 39
= 9 + 39
= 48
