The remaining number of coupons before Tim bought another 73 coupons is repeated. Make the remaining number of coupons the same. LCM of 2 and 5 is 10.
Total number of coupons at first = 25 u
Total number of coupons in the end = 6 u + 73
Number of coupons left was 35 more than the number of coupons at first.
25 u + 35 = 6 u + 73
25 u - 6 u = 73 - 35
19 u = 38
1 u = 38 ÷ 19 = 2
Total number of coupons at first
= 25 u
= 25 x 2
= 50
Answer(s): 50
