The number of puffs that Dylan and Vaidev each had in the end is the same. Make the number of puffs that Dylan and Vaidev each had in the end the same. LCM of 3 and 1 is 3.
Number of puffs that Dylan had less than Vaidev at first
= 15 u - 8 u
= 7 u
7 u = 70
1 u = 70 ÷ 7 = 10
Number of puffs that Dylan had at first
= 8 u
= 8 x 10
= 80
