Volume of water in the container at first
= ¹₇ x 40 x 35 x 20
= 4000 cm³

Volume of water in the container in the end
= ⁴₇ x 40 x 35 x 20
= 16000 cm³

Volume of water added into the container by the tap
= 16000 - 4000
= 12000 cm³

1000 mℓ = 1 ℓ
12000 mℓ = 12000 ÷ 1000 = 12 ℓ

From 6.13 p.m. to 6.37 p.m.: 24 min

Volume of water that flowed out of the tap in a minute
= 12 ÷ 24
= 0.5 ℓ
