Volume of water in the tank at first
= ¹₃ x 45 x 40 x 32
= 19200 cm³

Volume of water in the tank in the end
= ⁷₈ x 45 x 40 x 32
= 50400 cm³

Volume of water added into the tank by the tap
= 50400 - 19200
= 31200 cm³

1000 mℓ = 1 ℓ
31200 mℓ = 31200 ÷ 1000 = 31.2 ℓ

From 4.27 p.m. to 4.39 p.m.: 12 min

Volume of water that flowed out of the tap in a minute
= 31.2 ÷ 12
