Volume of water in the tank at first
= ¹₇ x 40 x 35 x 34
= 6800 cm³

Volume of water in the tank in the end
= ⁶₇ x 40 x 35 x 34
= 40800 cm³

Volume of water added into the tank by the tap
= 40800 - 6800
= 34000 cm³

1000 mℓ = 1 ℓ
34000 mℓ = 34000 ÷ 1000 = 34 ℓ

From 5.30 p.m. to 5.50 p.m.: 20 min

Volume of water that flowed out of the tap in a minute
= 34 ÷ 20
= 1.7 ℓ
