Volume of water in the tank at first
= ¹₄ x 40 x 30 x 30
= 9000 cm³

Volume of water in the tank in the end
= ⁷₈ x 40 x 30 x 30
= 31500 cm³

Volume of water added into the tank by the tap
= 31500 - 9000
= 22500 cm³

1000 mℓ = 1 ℓ
22500 mℓ = 22500 ÷ 1000 = 22.5 ℓ

From 3.17 p.m. to 3.42 p.m.: 25 min

Volume of water that flowed out of the tap in a minute
= 22.5 ÷ 25
