filled with water. Given that the water flowed out of the tap at the same rate, find the volume of water that flowed out of the tap in a minute. Give your answer in litres.
Volume of water in the container at first
= ¹₁₀ x 70 x 50 x 20
= 7000 cm³

Volume of water in the container in the end
= ⁷₁₀ x 70 x 50 x 20
= 49000 cm³

Volume of water added into the container by the tap
= 49000 - 7000
= 42000 cm³

1000 mℓ = 1 ℓ
42000 mℓ = 42000 ÷ 1000 = 42 ℓ

From 3.15 p.m. to 3.30 p.m.: 15 min

Volume of water that flowed out of the tap in a minute
= 42 ÷ 15
= 2.8 ℓ
