filled with water. Given that the water flowed out of the tap at the same rate, find the volume of water that flowed out of the tap in a minute. Give your answer in litres.
Volume of water in the tank at first
= ¹₁₀ x 40 x 25 x 28
= 2800 cm³

Volume of water in the tank in the end
= ⁵₈ x 40 x 25 x 28
= 17500 cm³

Volume of water added into the tank by the tap
= 17500 - 2800
= 14700 cm³

1000 mℓ = 1 ℓ
14700 mℓ = 14700 ÷ 1000 = 14.7 ℓ

From 7.13 p.m. to 7.34 p.m.: 21 min

Volume of water that flowed out of the tap in a minute
= 14.7 ÷ 21
= 0.7 ℓ
