3. The number of post-it pads in Box W is 160. Find the number of post-it pads in Box X.

Percentage of post-it pads in Box W
= 100% - 35% - 25%
= 40%

Percentage of post-it pads in Box X
= 100% - 65% - 20%

40% of stationery in Box W = 160
1% of stationery in Box W = 160 ÷ 40 = 4 
100% of the stationery in Box W = 100 x 4 = 400

Number of stationery in Box X
= 400 ÷ 2
= 200

100% of stationery in Box X = 200
1% of stationery in Box W = 200 ÷ 100 = 2
15% of stationery in Box W = 15 x 2 = 30  

Number of post-it pads in Box X = 30
