1. Find the percentage of staplers in Box N.

Percentage of staplers in Box N
= 100% - 30% - 25%

Percentage of staplers in Box P
= 100% - 45% - 30%
= 25%

Fraction of stationery in Box P that is staplers

45% of stationery in Box N = 360
1% of stationery in Box N = 360 ÷ 45 = 8 
100% of the stationery in Box N = 100 x 8 = 800

Number of stationery in Box P
= 800 ÷ 4
= 200

100% of stationery in Box P = 200
1% of stationery in Box N = 200 ÷ 100 = 2
25% of stationery in Box N = 25 x 2 = 50  

Number of staplers in Box P = 50
