A company offered 80 blenders at 20% discount during a 7-day sale. The line graph shows the number of blenders left unsold at the end of each day.

1. On which day was the most number of blenders sold? Give your answer in this format. (Eg Day 1)
2. What percentage of the 80 blenders were sold in the first four days of the sale?
3. During the sale, the discounted price of the blenders was $104. After the sale, the remaining blenders were sold without discount. What was the total amount of money collected from selling all 80 blenders?

On Day 3, the most number of blenders was sold.

Number of blenders that were left at Day 4 = 36

Number of blenders that were sold for the first four days
= 80 - 36
= 44

Percentage of blenders that were sold for the first four days
= ⁴⁴₈₀ x 100%
= 55%

(c)
Number of blenders that were left at the end of the sale = 12

Number of blenders that were sold during the sale
= 80 - 12
= 68

Total amount that collected from the blenders sold
= 68 x 104
= $7072

Price of each blender after 20% discount 
= 100% - 20%
= 80%

80% of the price = 104
1% of the price = 104 ÷ 80 = 1.3
100% of the price = 100 x 1.3 = 130

Amount collected from selling the remaining blenders
= 12 x 130
= $1560

Total amount collected from selling all the 80 blenders
= 7072 + 1560
= $8632
