A company offered 200 juicers at 10% discount during a 7-day sale. The line graph shows the number of juicers left unsold at the end of each day.

1. On which day was the most number of juicers sold? Give your answer in this format. (Eg Day 1)
2. What percentage of the 200 juicers were sold in the first four days of the sale?
3. During the sale, the discounted price of the juicers was $54. After the sale, the remaining juicers were sold without discount. What was the total amount of money collected from selling all 200 juicers?

On Day 3, the most number of juicers was sold.

Number of juicers that were left at Day 4 = 110

Number of juicers that were sold for the first four days
= 200 - 110
= 90

Percentage of juicers that were sold for the first four days
= ⁹⁰₂₀₀ x 100%
= 45%

(c)
Number of juicers that were left at the end of the sale = 60

Number of juicers that were sold during the sale
= 200 - 60
= 140

Total amount that collected from the juicers sold
= 140 x 54
= $7560

Price of each juicer after 10% discount 
= 100% - 10%
= 90%

90% of the price = 54
1% of the price = 54 ÷ 90 = 0.6
100% of the price = 100 x 0.6 = 60

Amount collected from selling the remaining juicers
= 60 x 60
= $3600

Total amount collected from selling all the 200 juicers
= 7560 + 3600
= $11160
