A company offered 100 hand blenders at 30% discount during a 7-day sale. The line graph shows the number of hand blenders left unsold at the end of each day.

1. On which day was the most number of hand blenders sold? Give your answer in this format. (Eg Day 1)
2. What percentage of the 100 hand blenders were sold in the first five days of the sale?
3. During the sale, the discounted price of the hand blenders was $98. After the sale, the remaining hand blenders were sold without discount. What was the total amount of money collected from selling all 100 hand blenders?

Number of hand blenders that were left at Day 5 = 45

Number of hand blenders that were sold for the first five days
= 100 - 45
= 55

Percentage of hand blenders that were sold for the first five days
= ⁵⁵₁₀₀ x 100%
= 55%

Number of hand blenders that were left at the end of the sale = 25

Number of hand blenders that were sold during the sale
= 100 - 25
= 75

Total amount that collected from the hand blenders sold
= 75 x 98
= $7350

Price of each hand blender after 30% discount 
= 100% - 30%
= 70%

70% of the price = 98
1% of the price = 98 ÷ 70 = 1.4
100% of the price = 100 x 1.4 = 140

Amount collected from selling the remaining hand blenders
= 25 x 140
= $3500

Total amount collected from selling all the 100 hand blenders
= 7350 + 3500
= $10850
