Perimeter of three separate trapeziums
= 3 x 84
= 252 cm
Number of overlapping ABs = 4
Length of 4 ABs
= 252 - 172
= 80 cm
Length of 1 AB
= 80 ÷ 4
= 20 cm
(b)
Area of 2 rectangles
= 1600 ÷ 2
= 800 cm
2 Length of the rectangle
= 800 ÷ 20
= 40 cm
Length of XY
= 40 - 20 - 8
= 12 cm
