The total number of apples and oranges is repeated.  Make the total number of apples and oranges the same.  LCM of 5 and 3 is 15.

= 5 u - 3 u
= 2 u

Number of the fruits in the container altogether
= 12 u + 3 u + 5 u
= 20 u
= 20 x 10
