Victoria bought some lollipops and gave half of it to Lee. Lee bought some jelly beans and gave half of it to Victoria. Victoria ate 3 jelly beans and Lee ate 14 lollipops. The ratio of Victoria's jelly beans to lollipops became 1 : 6 and the ratio of Lee's jelly beans to lollipops became 1 : 4. How many lollipops did Victoria buy?

After Victoria gave half of the lollipops to Lee and Lee gave half of his jelly beans to Victoria, Lee and Victoria had same number of jelly beans and lollipops before each ate some.

6 u = 4 p + 14 
6 u - 14 = 4 p --- (1)

1 u + 3 = 1 p --- (2)

Make p the same.
