$10 |
$100 |
Before |
3 u + 20 |
1 u + 26 |
Change |
- 20 |
- 26 |
After |
3 u |
1 u |
Number of $10 notes at first = 3 u + 20
Number of $100 notes at first = 1 u + 26
The number of $10 and $100 notes at first is the same.
3 u + 20 = 1 u + 26
3 u - 1 u = 26 - 20
2 u = 6
1 u = 6 ÷ 2 = 3
Value of $10-notes left
= 3 u x 10
= 3 x 3 x 10
= $90
Value of $100-notes left
= 1 u x 100
= 1 x 3 x 100
= $300
Value of notes left
= 90 + 300
= $390
Answer(s): $390
